Youth empowerment blog

Youth empowerment is the process of making young people gain the ability and authority to make decisions and implement changes in their own lives and the lives of others. It also deals with the process of encouraging youths to do great things for themselves and for society.

Youth empowerment programs are aimed at creating healthier and higher quality of life for underprivileged or at-risk youth.

Participation is a fundamental right. Through active participation, young people are empowered to play a vital role in their own development as well as in that of their communities, helping them to learn vital life-skills, develop knowledge on human rights and citizenship and to promote positive civic action. To participate effectively, young people must be given the proper tools, such as information, education about and access to their civil rights.

SPORTSROOM plans and supports amazing projects that help change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people from across different regions of the world.
